WHO WE ARE
A Lovely Foundation is a woman-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit foundation that empowers women of color through creative writing workshops, mentorship, and literary community.
We create intentional spaces where women of color develop their voices as writers and storytellers. Through structured workshops and mentorship, we provide the tools, encouragement, and community that help women claim their narratives.
We believe voice is sacred. When women write together, transformation happens. For both the individual and the collective.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
Our work is grounded in 3 guiding principles:
Love — We lead with compassion, care, and connection, creating space for women to feel safe, valued, and whole.
Inspiration — We awaken purpose through creativity, storytelling, and the art of writing, fueling bold dreams and deep self-expression.
Empowerment — We encourage women of color to step fully into their power with confidence, clarity, and community by their side.

The Lovely Legacy: The Voice Within™
Launching Winter 2025
Our signature program serves young women — emerging writers in high school from underserved communities through quarterly creative writing workshops. Participants explore various genres of writing while learning the art of storytelling and building community with fellow young writers.
